Overview:
For the Love of Pete is the sixth solo release from
producer/songwriter Gavin Castleton in 3 years. Fresh
off the buzz surrounding his two recent fictional
albums, Castleton’s For the Love of Pete will be a shocking
dose of non-fiction for his listeners. This full-length
album delivers an honest, warm and palpable crosssection
of his extremely intimate and private 6-year relationship. It's a compilation of 12 songs that were
written exclusively for a special girl from 2002 to 2007:
from their budding courtship, through their heartspanking
breakup, to the glorious aftermath still inspiring
his writing today. Gavin Castleton has released a record that speaks to everyone who has ever found and lost love.
Press:
"Castleton’s ability to write for all tastes, in all styles, is
what makes him so broadly digestible"
- Providence Phoenix
"Delicate and soulful... a flawless construct of strings,
piano, beats/drums, voice and guitar."
